This is the common fault we repair. The PS5 HDMI port can either be physically damaged inside or the port can be broken free of where it attaches to the motherboard. It can cause a number of issues but most commonly you will either get no display on your screen or you will only get a signal when you hold the cable at a certain angle.
Not as common as a faulty HDMI connector, but the USB connectors can also be damaged. We can replace these as required as restore functionality to your Playstation.
Motherboards in Playstation consoles are quite reliable, but as with anything they can go faulty. Not all faults are repairable, mostly due to some being uneconomic to repair, but many are fully fixable. Usually a motherboard fault will result in the Playstation not switching on at all or potentially giving you an error code.
Over time, your PS5 can start to overheat. This is usually a result of both dust build up inside and the liquid metal compound migrating from where it should be. When an Playstation overheats, it may give you a warning or it may just start to shutdown after a short period of playing games.
