Windows Wont Load?
This is a very common issue with both laptops and desktops, fortunately its probably just a software problem and could be fixed for as little as £48.00. If you want to discuss it, simply contact us and you can speak to one of our engineers.
Laptop Wont Charge or flickers on and off
This is a very common issue with laptops and is caused my manufactures bad design. The socket in which the DC jack gets plugged into is directly soldered to the motherboard. Over a period of time these joints can be damaged or the socket itself broken.
Faulty power socket symptoms include:
- Physical movement of the socket. Moving the socket may cause the charging light to flicker on and off
- Physical damage to the socket. Centre pin missing or pushed inside laptop. Whole socket missing
- Sparking or a burning smell coming from the socket area
Actually repairing the DC socket is a relatively simple process however due to the design of almost every laptop the entire machine needs to be taken apart to get to the socket. It takes on average 3-4 hours to complete the job with a fixed price of £130 inc VAT.
